Holiday Season is here.

Wanted to send the very best to everyone for the holidays. We have stayed close to home this Winter, and had plenty of food and good cheer with family. Plans for the coming year is in order. We have a few outstanding orders, And some dies sets due out. Not to mention the November Dividends on Subscriptions…running late as usual. That said, we are pleased to get them out by the 15th of December.

Sales have been steady, and we have had a good year. We have improved on shipping, but have fallen way behind on posting new types and posting to our blog…time to make a new year’s resolution to amend those items.

We intend a slow down of work for a few days off. Beginning December 20th, and running to the 1st of Jan. This will NOT be a suspension of work, more of taking it a little easier than we have. Working some rest in where we can. Orders made online will be processed, but we will watch it in the commissions, and strive to finish any outstanding for the year before the first of the New Year. We want to go into the new year as clean a slate as we can.

Thank all of you for your business thru the year, and the wonderful feedback we have received. We look forward to a new and prosperous year for everyone.

May is Here, and So Are We

Welcome to May!

Spring is in full swing. Our Fruit trees are loaded down with blossoms or already growing fruit.

The shop is also developing new things as well. We will shortly add Venetian Soldino (little shilling), and a new Penny of Aethelred, along with his Gold Mancus. (30 penny valued coin) Oddly there is a example of a gold Mancus struck with the same dies as was used for silver, showing that his gold was likely not a rare item. Historians suggest the reason so few are known is due to them being melted down.

Up this coming week is a Portuguese Real of 10 Soldo coin of John the First 1385-1433…referred to as “the Bastard” in Spain, for the obvious thrashing he gave them in keeping Portugal free and independent.

After that, later this month we will be offering our first Papal coins, Some silver toned, and at least one gold toned. Ideally we want to do three, from rather historical circumstance. Leo X, (for known excesses), Clement VII (Sack of Rome and fight with Henry VIII), and possibly Julius II, (So much history, where do I begin). Of course the Medici Popes! How could we not.

Down the road we have sponsors that have asked us to create Henry VI Pennys, and Edward IV Groats…for those that need a taste of the Wars of the Roses era.

So much to do, and so busy. Back to the shop!

April 1st and We Are Open for Business-No Fooling!

Well here we are ready to supply our new and existing customers with our wares. It has been many weeks of prepping, but the website is ready to relaunch. More content has been added, and there are at least a dozen items that have not been listed yet-look for those as the next few days arrive.

We have had the very best of help from our new developer and designer Ed. If it were not for him we would still be without a legitimate website.

We will continue to edit and adjust things, but the dust will settle in time. There are many things in development, and new items will be added all the time…so check back often.

Be sure to look at and potentially order the Relaunch Grab Bag Special. For a very low price you can get a sample of our work. And a fair idea of what we can produce. I think you will find our pricing fair, and our products useful. And please share with your friends what we do and where to find us.

We hope you will make Alpha Officium one of your favorite stops on the Internet.

Welcome to the World of Antique Replica Coinage

Greetings and Welcome to Alpha Officium

While our old website has served us well-over at Weebly, we saw the need for a new website over a year ago. At which time we managed to capture this domain and secure this website. I cannot help but praise both Weebly for giving us a fair start on commerce, or One.com for our current endeavor.

Once this website was originally up and running in 2018, for a short time it worked well enough. Though we did lack the ability to quickly edit our products. In time the developer and I had a parting of the ways. This led us to a position wherein we could not advance nor update this website for a very long time. This was most unfortunate for those that wanted our products.

For a time, we had to rely on Facebook to announce new products, and to develop our base of supporters further. Not the best of circumstances to be in. My lack of skills in website building certainly did not help. But as they say good things come to those that wait.

My thanks go out to those that have stayed with us thru the worst of it all. And in particular all the customers that dealt with my slower than usual shipping, our occasional blunders and oversights. You know who you are.

Currently our website Guru and benefactor Ed Berland, is most deserving of praise. If it were not for him, we would still be mired in obsolete, and buggy pages of non-sense. Thank you, sir!

Here we find ourselves in a new year and with new possibilities. We are on the cusp of producing many of the new items that we have been asked to make. The Reenactor and Living History community has been very kind to us. LARP groups, and Ren Fair folks have equally been as welcoming to our efforts. Never underestimate the needs of the public!

Please stay tuned to our weekly blog and the new and exciting things we will be making. And please share with your friends our website, for without all of you, I would not be able to create such pretty art.
