An veritable Viking power unto himself. Cnut earned the term ‘The Great” becoming King of England, Denmark, and Norway in short order. His coinage was varied in design and abundantly dispersed. There are examples of his coins found to be incorporated into jewelry as far away as Finland. This Quartrefoil type is consider very elegant, and occurs later in his reign than the earlier “Helmet” types.

Alpha Officium also caries the helmet type penny of Cnut.

Historical Denomination: Silver Penny.
